She finally joined our family on March 11. Thanks to Dr. Jones who was willing to schedule the induction a couple days early so I could make it to my little brothers wedding. It was a pretty good experience. I highly recommend inducing verses going on your own. It was really relaxed. We watched a movie while I was in labor, and I got an epidural before I really needed it. :) The dr. broke my water at 8:30 Tuesday morning. I immediately started having strong contractions and dilating. They put me on a small drip of pitossin (don't worry, I have no idea how to spell all the medical things) It was really working, so the nurses left and said they would be back to check on me. We stuck in a movie and thought we wouldn't make it to the end because I was progressing so fast. As the movie started, my contractions stopped. I quit everything. Throughout (second hand lions) the nurses kept coming in turning up my pitossin bewildered by my lack of contractions. I was beginning to think that I was going to have to have a c-section. Our movie ended and Keith got up and was moving his chair when he noticed a big puddle on the floor. We finally figured out my IV came unhooked and was dripping on the floor. We called the nurse and she came in turned the pitossin back down and hooked it back up. She was annoyed but relieved that that was the problem. And lo and behold we had baby sister 3 hours later. I did however have to wait 20 long minutes for the Dr. to come. He was held up in his office as I was trying as hard as I could to not have her without him. He finally arrived and 3 contractions later we had this beautiful baby girl. She came out screaming and hasn't really made a peep since. She is a sweetheart. She weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. The first 5 nights she slept six hours at a time. She just recently decided to be a little hungrier, but sleeps great so it isn't bad getting up. Logan was a little skeptical about her at first. He was really naughty and mean for a couple days, but once things calmed down he decided that he loved her. He hugs and kisses her and tells me how beautiful she is, and how much he loves her. He is really tender with her and is proud to be a big brother. We are proud to be her parents!
