Dylan's Blessing

We blessed Dylan on the 20th. It turned out to be a fantastic day. I was pretty stressed out about fitting everyone in our house and feeding them. But everything went perfect. Dylan was so sweet the whole day. Both her and Logan were a little high strung by the time everyone left. They both fell asleep for three hours. It was nice to have the peace and quiet. Dylan was so sweet, as I was getting her dressed she seemed to be really excited. I had been telling her all day that it was her special day and that she got to be so beautiful in her little white dress. (you know...baby talk) But as I was dressing her she started smiling, the big smiles where she would open her mouth so wide she couldn't control it. It was so sweet! It seemed like she knew, it made all the stress worth it. The blessing was beautiful, I tried to record the sound with our camera, but our ward is so loud all I got were babies crying. I hope I can remember it long enough to write some of it down...(mom I need your notes).

I lied...

So when I introduced Dylan in this blog I said that she hadn't really made a peep. I spoke too soon. She decided to care, and has become quite a bit more feisty than Logan ever was. She gets pretty fussy in the evenings and just cries for a couple hours. I have learned that she prefers her swing or carseat over being held. She wants her hands tied down because she can't control them yet. And mom you were right. She definitely wants to go to bed earlier. But we are slowly figuring out how to keep her happy. She is not a bad baby by any means, but she has a nice set of vocal chords. Maybe she will pick up the singing thing since screaming is how I developed it. :) Anyway, this is the reason that I haven't posted anything on our blog. I am still trying to figure out how to have any time to myself (is there such a thing after you have kids?) And tonight both kids went to bed at 8:30. I should be in bed, but it feels so good to have quiet time that Keith and I are really enjoying just taking it easy. We may be regretting it in the middle of the night. We will keep our fingers crossed that they both sleep good.

Miniature Golf

Logan really likes to Golf. Whenever we go to Delta it seems that he wants to spend a lot of his time golfing. So we thought miniature golf would be a good Saturday activity. We went to Boondocks, they have a cute miniature golf course with tons of cute things that we thought would entertain Logan. Nope...we had his attention for 2 holes (out of 18) He got bored really fast! We were disappointed that he didn't like it, but had paid for all 18 holes so we wanted to finish. Not a good idea. We would hit the ball, and Logan would go get it and either hide it, throw it, or bring it back to you. We still had a good time, but just for the record Logan does not like miniature golf.

Picture day :)

I heard of this photographer when Logan was 16 months old. I was so sad that I didn't know about her when he was a newborn because she had the cutest newborn photos, and he was such a cute baby! So, I was bound and determined that my next child would get newborn photos. The month I found out I was pregnant I called her and made a tentative appointment to get my pictures taken in March. Pathetic I know, but I wanted to make sure and get in because she is so booked. Of course in the mean time she had to raise her prices a couple times...that didn't make Keith very happy. But, she did a fabulous job, and to me it was money well spent. Keith on the other hand wouldn't have let me do it, but I had saved my own hard earned money just for this day. Dylan slept the entire 2 hour session. Logan was quite a pill, but somehow she got some really cute photos of him. These are 2 of my favorite. There are so many to choose from, she took so many pictures that she had to give me 2 cd's. I wish I could blow them all up and plaster my walls with my cute babies! If I could I would get their pictures taken every 6 months. They grow up so fast I don't want to forget any of it!

Fun fun fun....

I just couldn't help myself. I had to take a picture when I pulled all of the clothes out of the dryer and had a pink basket. It is so much fun having a girl! Keith has even said that pink has really grown on him. I am having so much fun dressing her. I am afraid that I am going to wish away her life because every day I find more cute clothes in her closet that I just can't wait for her to wear. I keep thinking...when she is 3 months she can wear this, or six months. Thank you Tana for all the cute clothes, you have definitely saved our budget. I better stay out of the stores for a while, for one I would go spending crazy and two she already has so many clothes she will never be able to wear them all.
