Five Alive!

I can't believe that Logan is actually 5. That went by way too fast! All he wanted for his birthday was fighting stuff. Costumes, and weapons. So that is basically what he got. I love this stage because he has such an imagination.

I have been envisioning making party templates for my Sassy Dean stuff for a long time but haven't had the motivation to do it. So I took advantage of Logan's birthday and tried to put together a print-your-own birthday party package for my etsy site. I wasn't expecting it to be so much work. But after designing it all, printing it, cutting it, gluing it, and decorating it I think it turned out ok. He didn't even notice anything, so it was a good thing that his birthday wasn't the only reason I did it all. I would have been bummed out by his party attitude. But what 5 year old boy cares about decorations...

All in all I think it turned out to be a pretty cute birthday party. I need to start right now for Dylan's party because she has high hopes of getting goodie bags and favor boxes at her birthday too.

I don't know why, but he does this pose everytime I take his picture now. I think it must be his COOL face. He looks depressed, but I think he was pretty excited about everything.

We had the party in Delta a couple days early, so on his actual birthday we went to a matinee in Bountiful and then headed to Lagoon...which to our dismay was closed. I had him all pumped up to go so we could use our passes before they expire so we had to come up with something to do. We ended up at Kangaroo Zoo and they both loved it. I think it was a bigger hit than Lagoon would have been. They ran free for a couple hours.

Happy Birthday Logan! So glad that you are the big brother of the family!
