Well, Keith and I celebrated our 5th anniversary this year. I can't believe that we have been married for 5 years. It sure went by fast! 3 moves and 2 babies later! I thought it would be nice if he didn't have to worry about our anniversary this year so I asked him if I could have the money and do something that we would both like. Being a guy, he was happy to pass the buck. So I started re-doing our bedroom (without him knowing) I had been planning on doing this for a while so I already had everything picked out I just had to buy it. Well...as things go, the bed I wanted was out of stock and they don't know if they will be making it anymore. The bedding that I had picked out was sold out, and could not find anywhere for a decent price. So I had to start from square one. But in the end it was worth it. Alot of secret shopping (thanks Mikah and Stephanie), ironing (thanks Julie), and hiding, here is the final result. p.s. the pictures don't really do it justice.

My brother Matt came on Friday morning after Keith left for work. We painted, hung curtains, pictures, decorations. We finished at 2:30. Only because Julie took Logan for most of the day...thanks again. When Keith came home we went to Zupas for dinner because it is our new favorite place. I told him that we were going to take the family and stay at a suite. So we needed to go home and pack. When we got home we all went upstairs and Keith laughed when he saw the sign that said "welcome to the 5th anniversary bed and breakfast Knight Suite" He opened the door and actually looked surprised. He suspected something for our bedroom, but had n o idea it was an entire makeover. He liked it, but did say that the best thing about it was that I got what I wanted and he didn't have to do anything. :) Men.
Happy 5th babe, glad I get to be your wife.
Number 5!
Take me out to the ball game

We went to the Owlz game last weekend. My dad took us. We all had a good time. Keith was so proud of this picture of Logan because it is a classic hot dog baseball picture. So I had to post it. It was perfect weather for a baseball game, so Dylan had a blast. It has been a good summer, we will be sad for the weather to change, we are all loving our time outside.
Cousin Day

Every year Grandma Jayne plans a pool party for all the cousins. Logan loves to see them all, especially his cousin Jaden who is 2 days older than him. They have a pretty good time together. After the pool party we were getting Logan dressed and he has been so proud of these new briefs that he was showing them off to all of the family. So this is our Logan, the new underwear model. It is so funny to watch him when he thinks he looks cute. He struts and pulls the lip pucker I think I am sexy face. I didn't know you could have an ego when you are 2.
The Zoo

We went to the Zoo on the 24th of July. My Dad took us while my mom was on her way to Switzerland. Logan seemed pretty bored with it, but when we came home he wouldn't quit talking about the zoo. I think he was just feeling a little under the weather with his tonsils. He had fun riding the train. When we got to the zoo we asked him what animals he wanted to see and he said, "The elephants and the dragons." We got a kick out of that.
We stopped at the bears and had a creamie, for some reason Logan was giving all the kids that walked by a thumbs up. I got a picture of him giving one out.
Lovebirds

Logan and Hannah at our ward breakfast. They are destined to be together. There was a bike parade, and of course Logan didn't want any part of it. All he wanted to do was run behind Hannah. So as you watch the parade, there were about 50 bikes, and in the middle of all of it, there is Logan running behind his girlfriend. The only person not on a bike. He lost his shoe and bent down to fix it, and when he stood up and she was gone he totally freaked out. "Where is my Hannah, I need my girlfriend." He is still pretty distraught about it, everytime we talk about Hannah he will say, "I was crying because I lost my Hannah."
Sleep Deprived

So we survived. It has really taken me this long to post because we have been trying to catch up on sleep from the whole tonsil thing. The first night was great, I think he was still drugged from the surgery. The next night he scream all night long. It was the saddest thing I have ever experienced as a mom. I would not be able to survive a child with a terminal illness. He was in so much pain that he would run circles around his room screaming..slapping his face trying to get whatever was hurting him off. It was a long night of screaming. It is so sad when they don't understand why they are hurting. My approach was to just give him sympathy and hold him. Keith's approach saved our lives. He would explain to Logan that we knew his throat was hurting and then tell him that he was so brave to tough it out until it got better. Only Keith could get him to take his medicine. He seemed to relate much better with Logan than I did in this situation. I was so grateful because there was nothing I could do. As long as Logan had his daddy he was fine. It took the entire 10 days to heal. I think because we went to the zoo and the pool near the end, and that slowed the healing process because we weren't keeping him hydrated.
Since the surgery a couple things have changed.
1. I can't keep him full. He has a huge appetite. At his post appointment the Dr. said that when he would eat his tonsils were so big all food would gag him. Now that he has more room and doesn't get gagged-he wants to eat more.
2. Because of all the eating he seems so much heavier to me.
3. Much more energy.
4. I don't know if this is really related, but he is much louder. I think it comes with the extra energy. He screams at the top of his lungs all day.
5. His naps aren't as long. The Dr. said he can breathe better so he is getting better sleep at night, therefore not needing as much sleep during the day.
A couple days after the surgery we were sitting at the dinner table and out of the blue Logan said "I can breathe now." and continued eating his food. Sorry bud, we didn't know you couldn't breathe before. Now that all is said and done, I can't get him to quit wanting popsicles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
